The Oklahoma City-County Health Department (OCCHD) is reminding parents that all children ages six months through nine years need two H1N1 vaccinations in order to maximize their immunity to the flu.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Trust for America’s Health released a report Tuesday that shows Oklahoma as one of the 7 best-prepared states for a major public health emergency.

Even with widespread H1N1 Flu cases in Oklahoma this fall, attendance in Oklahoma City Public Schools is better so far this year than it was during the previous two years when H1N1 was not a factor.
