Family Planning | Pregnancy Testing | Maternity Clinic

Provides a variety of services for reproductive health, and cancer screening  to Oklahoma County residents with emphasis on the uninsured and underinsured. The Family Planning and Maternity Clinics are staffed by certified nurse practitioners with consultation by physicians from Deaconess, Presbyterian, St. Anthony and University Hospitals.

                     Family Planning

The Family Planning Clinic offers contraceptive and preconception counseling services to women and men. Counseling regarding current birth control methods and contraceptive devices are provided to any uninsured or underinsured woman or man who resides in Oklahoma County.

Appointments required (fee based on ability to pay per sliding scale).  Services include:

- Physical examination 
- Laboratory tests
- PAP test if indicated
- Programs for annual exams, including breast and cervical cancer screening
-Birth control education and dissemination. Birth control methods available: abstinence, condoms, diaphragm, pill, IUD, and Depo-Provera
-Information available on vasectomy, tubal ligation, norplant and natural family planning

These services are provided in an effort to prevent unplanned pregnancies and to reduce the rate of teen pregnancy in Oklahoma County.

Pregnancy Testing is offered to Oklahoma County residents with referral to the Family Planning Clinic or the Maternity Clinic as appropriate. Services include:

- Available to any uninsured woman
- West Clinic – Call for clinic times, no appointment necessary

      Maternity Clinic

The Maternity Clinic provides pregnancy testing and prenatal care to any uninsured women who are residents of Oklahoma County. Services include:

- Prenatal Education
- Physical exams
- Laboratory Tests
- Nutrition counseling
- Prenatal referrals as indicated
- Translators available on staff
